Webonomics for comics, too!

Over at Pink Hollyhock, the esteemed Kelly Brewer made a wonderful point about online ads being web writers (and cartoonists) “tip jar.” It’s true. Many creative professionals who use the web as an outlet for their talents are looking to make their living by providing Internet content (like me) and it ain’t easy.

Everyone believes the Internet should be “free.” I agree. But if you are being entertained or even just occupied with what you see and read on the web, then at least a little click would be nice (especially if you support the local advertisers on Food for Thought: A News Café.)

The fact is, I know of a couple of popular blogs where services such as tutorials are being provided and the author has installed a PayPal button for “tips.”

I, for one, ain’t too proud to beg…
